Yes, it is true! Superstar Rajinikanth has penned the story of his upcoming film Rana. "Yes, he wrote the story. I've done the screenplay and will direct the film, which will be set in the 17th century," revealed director K.S. Ravikumar at the press meet of the film held recently.
In the film, Rajni will appear in three different avatars and Deepika Padukone is one of his leading ladies. Rajinikanth was not happy with Deepika's look initially and postponed the shoot for a week. Deepika sported a traditional skirt and blouse for the muhuraat shot. The film, which will be shot in places like London and Chennai, is expected to be shot in about 220 days. Music director A.R. Rahman has already started composing the songs and as usual, the legendary SPB will croon Rajni's intro song in the film. Rana will have six songs and Rajni's daughter Soundarya will take care of the CG and technical aspects in the film.
